Negative Effects of Stress

Stress can also have many negative effects on people if they allow it to get out of control. You may need help managing your stress if you often:

  • Feel tense
  • Get easily annoyed or bothered
  • Feel tired even when you get enough sleep
  • Can't focus or concentrate
  • Can't sleep because your mind keeps racing
  • Have increased heart rate
  • Notice a difference in your breathing
  • Feel tightness in your shoulders and neck
