Who is there for me?
Getting Started…
Everyone seeks support in their own way. Here you will find ways to help you reach for the healthy, positive relationships you need.
We know not all teens can get the support they need from their families. However, school, church, friends, sports teams, extended family, and other adults can serve this purpose as well. Wherever you choose to get support, it is important to be a part of relationships and activities where you feel valued.
Talking and spending time with people who are supportive and understanding can:
- Get rid of painful feelings about the trauma and improve your understanding of them
- Help you to think about the trauma less often
- Put you in a better mood
- Help you find answers
- Help you feel less alone
- Help you get your life back to normal
This section will help you to figure out who is there for you in your life, and how they can support you. Click next to complete the activity!
