Trauma can make everyday activities seem more overwhelming at times. It is helpful to figure out what things in your life are causing you to feel this way. Once you know what is adding to your stress, you can begin to tackle them one at a time. The Stress Relief Plan on the following page is designed to help you set goals for dealing with the stress in your life.
In the Stress Relief Activity You Will...
- Start by making a list of what is stressing you out in your life right now. This could include things like homework, money, your work, or drama with friends and family.
- Next, identify the things on your list that you know you can do something to change and make a goal for how you will reduce stress in each of those areas.
- Finally, think of ways that you can relieve the stress in your life in general, like taking a hot bath or going for a run.
